Lifetime Sets Premiere Date For The Client List

Lifetime has announced that their newest original drama series The Client List will premiere on the network on Sunday April 8th at 10/9c.

The Client List is based on Lifetime’s two hour TV movie of the same name, which originally aired on the network on July 19, 2010 to 3.9 million viewers. The weekly series stars Jennifer Love Hewitt, Cybil Sheppard, Loretta Devine and Colin Egglesfield and revolves around Riley Parks, who, after being deserted by her husband takes a job at a seemingly traditional day spa in a neighboring town, but she soon discovers that the spa is merely a front for other “services” being offered by the employees. 10 episodes have been ordered for the show’s first season which is being produced by Sony Pictures Television, Fedora Films and Jaffe/Braunstein.

Given the ratings for the TV movie, Lifetime has high hopes for the series. Especially as the network has been trying to introduce a successful new drama series to its lineup to replace the ageing Army Wives. But finding such as series is something they have not had much luck with, as both new drama series introduced last summer, The Protector and Against The Wall, failed to find much of an audience and were canceled after just one season.
